This is a new menu item at McD’s that came out recently. It’s a Big Mac with 4 beef patties instead of 2. After reading a review on this item here, which mentions that the extra patties overpower the overall taste of the burger, I did a bit of a custom order for mine. I asked them to spread on some extra Big Mac sauce between the burger patties. For the most part I think this did the trick of evening it out. Same classic Big Mac taste with a significantly meatier bite. It was like a Big Mac meets a Quarter Pounder. Kinda pricey though for McD’s.

after reading your review, I kinda had to
haven’t you ever made fast food customizations?
i do it all the time.
however McD’s in korea definitely tends to be really dickish about it when you ask. one time I asked them to replace the sweet chili sauce with mayo in a certain promotional chicken sandwich and the manager was like “we’ll do it for you this time, but don’t ever ask for this again”

this burger could benefit from customization, i agree.
as picky as i am, i don’t think i’ve ever customized fast food. i try it on faith, and if i don’t like it then i just order something else the next time.
from a customer-service perspective, it’s absolutely ridiculous that they wouldn’t accommodate a sauce substitution or any simple request to customize. then again, given the need for global chains to maintain uniformity, i can see how a narrow-minded manager who follows the letter of the regulations would get nervous at the first sign of difference, even if it’s only a single customer.

interestingly BK is very good about customizations. they really do abide by their “have it your way” principle

i always regarded the “have it your way” as an admission by BK that their stuff may not be that good as is but customers are free to improve upon it.
