Goobne Chicken Teri Bake (데리베이크 치킨)

I’ve really been diggin Goobne Chicken.  Maybe it’s because I’ve been more health conscious lately, but I seem to be ordering from here more than other fried chicken joints.  The original recipe is delicious and they make some bangin ass dipping sauces here.  It reminds me of mumbo sauce back home from the Chinese carryout joints.

The original recipe has been consistently good, so I wanted to try out something new.  Lately they’ve been peddling this new Teri Bake chicken.  They advertise it as a crispy bird with a sweet soy-based (teriyaki) sauce.   If you watch the commercial or look at the picture on the box, it looks really crispy.  Unfortunately, that was not the case when it got to my house.

The bird was juicy and the sauce was good, but I didn’t really get the crispiness that was advertised.  It needed more breading or less sauce, because the majority of those pieces were soggy.  It retained very little crunch.  We ordered the original recipe on the side and that was actually crispier than the Teri Bake.  I guess I’ll just stick to the original recipe for now.

Goobne Chicken > All their music combined

When I first covered Goobne on this site, I claimed that the chicken was better than Girls’ Generation’s music.  I didn’t mean to single them out.  I think that was a bit unfair.  Goobne Chicken shits on ALL kpop girl group and boy band songs.  If you’re reading this from outside of Korea where Goobne is inaccessible, then just trust me on my word.  It’s really good chicken.  Even Yeezy thinks so…

Yo KFC, I’m really happy for you… Ima let you finish. But Goobne has some of the best chicken of all time!

Hello there! This is a very nice entry. Would you know if I can order it half original and half teri bake?

Also, I’m wondering if you can help me locate the branches in Seoul? I am planning to travel there this winter. I tried checking out their website but it’s in pure Korean. :( I could not find the inquiry email address too.

Many thanks in advance and more power to your blog!

I don’t think u can do half and half at goobne… at least from what I can remember.

In regards to location that’s kind of a a tricky question as i have no idea where in seoul you’ll be saying. There are a whole bunch of locations in seoul. The location finding feature is pretty well done on the site. It shows you a map of korea and then if you click on seoul, it shows you a map of seoul where you can click on the “gu” you’ll be staying at and it will feature all the locations in that particular area.
