I went here for the simple fact that it’s a Mexican joint I haven’t tried yet. First came the chips and dip. They were really good. The chips were nice and light, seasoned well, and were crunchy. The salsa was zesty with a good amount of heat at the end. What’s incredibly lame is that they only offer one free refill on the chips and dip. Also, the chips are served on a small plate rather than a basket.

Chorizo Quesadilla 17,000 + VAT
The menu offers pretty standard tex-mex items, with burgers and sandwiches on the back. One of the items that caught my eye was the chorizo quesadilla. I’ve never had chorizo before. I just know it to be a sort of sausage. Maybe they didn’t really use chorizo, but to me, it just tasted like any old sausage/hotdog. The gauc and sour cream on the side were nice, but I was enjoying the dish more dipped in the salsa that came with the chips.

Two-item platter 14,000 + VAT

chicken soft taco
We also got the two-item combo platter with one original chicken burrito and one chicken soft taco. No complaints, yet nothing really to write home about. The burrito comes doused in a green mole sauce. Also, I could tell by the melted cheese on the taco that the whole plate was heated in the oven.

original chicken burrito
This place was OK. Everything was pretty decent. It’s a bit on the pricey side though. I really did like the refried beans they serve here (I don’t even like refried beans). They’re flavorful, and I really like that they add the melted cheese on top. It’s a lot better than that brown paste they serve at On The Border.
